Isolation Cage

The ideal cage system when your research requires total isolation.  This stacked unit provides two self-contained, sealed stainless cages; each with your choice of passive air filters or HEPA filters.  The outer sealed door provides isolation while the inner rod door contains your research animal.  This same unit can be used as an isolation chamber where individual cages can be positioned inside the unit.  The total isolation provided by these units allows use of a wide range of species within the same room.

  • All stainless steel 16 Ga. sheet construction with no cracks or crevices
  • All corners have smooth radius finish (no sharp corners)
  • Removable hinged door with polycarbonate window and 3" x 5" card holder.
  • Door is sealed with high temperature silicone gasket and secured with six adjustable clamps.
  • Stainless steel rack mounted on four stainless steel stem swivel casters with brakes and zerk fittings and polyurethane tires.
  • Animal Space: 32" W x 28" D (behind wire door) [32"deep behind sealed door] x 26"H.
  • Outside dimensions: 35 1/2" W x 39 1/2" D x 75" H.

  • Interchangeable HEPA filter with fan in place of passive filter.
  • Variable intensity incandescent light fixture.
  • Magnehelic differential pressure gauge.
  • Side windows in either polycarbonate or polysulfoam material for animal socialization.
  • Adjustable angle supports within the unit that allows for cage suspension or positioning of wire shelves.
  • Stainless steel automatic watering
  • Temperature, humidity, and air velocity sensors.
